Tuition Fee

The tuition fee is HK$145,000 per annum in 2020/21 (subject to University approval). If a student (1) intends to enroll in courses in addition to the 24 units of courses required to complete the degree, or (2) fails a course and must retake it, a supplementary course fee will be applied. In 2020/21, tuition fee per additional course is HK$18,125 (subject to University approval).


Admission Scholarships

To encourage and assist students of strong academic standing to study the Master of Arts in Chinese Studies Programme, the Programme will award a small number of scholarships in each academic year. The value of each scholarship will be equal to 50% of the tuition fee of the given academic year. Please refer to the Regulations for details. 


Merit Scholarships

The Programme Director will nominate the top students of Term 1 for a Merit Scholarship of up to HK$10,000 in recognition of their excellent performance.

US students attending our Programme can apply for The William D. Ford Federal Direct Loan Program (Direct Loan Program) to help pay their education expenses.
