CCS Faculty Members awarded major RGC research grants


The Centre is pleased to announce that Professors Ling Minhua, Kristof Van den Troost and Gao Yunwen succeeded in applying major research grants offered by the Research Grants Council (RGC). Professor Ling Minhua is awarded with General Research Fund (GRF), and Professors Kristof Van den Troost and Gao Yunwen are awarded with Early Career Scheme (ECS). Their proposed research topics are as below.


Professor Ling Minhua: Food Consumption of Left-behind Children and Rural Transformation in Post-reform China


Professor Kristof Van den Troost: The Hong Kong Crime Film


Professor Gao Yunwen: Dialect Writing and Identity Formation from Late Qing to Contemporary Shanghai

Prof. Li Chen served as panel speaker at the Korea-Hong Kong Cooperation Forum : Entering the GBA


Prof. Li Chen served as panel speaker at the Korea-Hong Kong Cooperation Forum : Entering the GBA on 12 June 2019, at Oasis Room of the Renaissance Hong Kong Harbour View .


The forum was organised by the The Consulate General of the Republic of Korea in Hong Kong, in an attemp to help increase people's understanding to the GBA and to seek business opportunities to enter the GBA, in addtion to explore possible cooperation chances through discussions by experts for Korea and Hong Kong to enter the GBA.
