Invitation to CCS China Studies Seminar Series “From Borderlands to Global Exchanges: Bridging Scales of Russian-Chinese Intercultural Dialogue”

The Centre for China Studies (CCS), in collaboration with the Department of Anthropology, is pleased to invite you to an upcoming seminar titled “From Borderlands to Global Exchanges: Bridging Scales of Russian-Chinese Intercultural Dialogue”, featuring Prof. Valentina S. Morozova, Professor of Chinese Philology at Herzen State Pedagogical University of Russia and Visiting Professor at HSE University (St. Petersburg).

Being a specialist in Russian-Chinese intercultural communication and cultural diplomacy, Prof. Morozova will analyze the diverse scales of dialogue between Russia and China—from local interactions in border regions to broader exchanges between global cities. Special attention will be given to Hong Kong’s unique role as a cultural crossroads between the East and West, offering insights into how intercultural dialogue shapes both regional connections and international diplomacy.
