My research explores the relationship between the state and the market in China, with a particular focus on the railway industry. I am interested in how government involvement shapes market formation, institutional reform, and the performance of state-owned enterprises. More broadly, my work examines questions of governance, economic development strategies, infrastructure policy, and innovation.
