我由比利時來香港已有十五年多,當初是香港電影吸引我來這裡,亦是香港電影一直增加我對這個城市的歷史及文化的喜愛。由於我的學術訓練是中國研究,因此我也對中國的各範疇有廣泛興趣。在教授及研究華語電影的同時,我重視電影製作及電影與年代背景的互動,同時視電影為一項獨特的藝術形式去欣賞它。從這角度,我撰寫了關於香港犯罪電影、電影審查及華語電影記憶政治的文章。
