During my undergraduate studies in Chinese Studies, my interest in China’s political, economic development, and public policy propelled me to further my education at HKU, specializing in economics to bolster my quantitative skills.  Through a dual quantitative and qualitative approach to academic research, I aspire to deepen my understanding of China’s political and economic landscape.

My current research project investigates the trajectory of specially selected graduates entering China’s civil service pathway, shedding light on the complexities within. In the future, I aim to explore central-local relations and financial reforms, offering valuable insights to these fields of study.
