Students will agree specific performance indicators for research with the relevant faculty at the start of the course and be assessed on how well they meet these indicators, accounting for 60% of the total grade. Students will also be required to write a summative report of around 3,000-4,000 words setting out their experience and what they have learned during the course, relating this to wider themes of China Studies which students have studied in their other required and elective courses (40% of the total grade; to be uploaded to VeriGuide). The summative report should be sent to the course coordinator as well as to the faculty member working with the student.

Honesty in Academic Work

Attention is drawn to University policy and regulations on honesty in academic work, and to the disciplinary guidelines and procedures applicable to breaches of such policy and regulations. Details may be found at http://www.cuhk.edu.hk/policy/academichonesty/. With each assignment, students will be required to submit a signed VeriGuide declaration that they are aware of the policies, regulations and procedures.
